2. Mobile ID cards are now available too! (Expanded nationwide in 2025, available as of 2026)
Mobile ID card issuance has been expanded nationwide since March 2025!
Eligibility: Anyone aged 17 or older with an ID card
Legal effect: Same as a physical ID card
Where can I use it? Public institutions, financial institutions, hospitals, airports, convenience stores, etc., can be used in the same way as physical cards.
Personal information protection function: Can selectively provide only necessary information (without exposing the entire resident registration number!)
