The Secret to Radiant Makeup for ID Photos: Job Hunting, Passports, Visas – A Single Photo Sets the First Impression!
[Monkos.ai] researcher here. Today, I'm writing a magazine about ID photo makeup, the most essential information that many people are curious about!
01. Introduction — Taking ID Photos Casually Can Be a Loss
An ID photo is your face representing you in a brief moment. When it comes time to take the photo, you might not know what to do and search on YouTube, but the methods are difficult, or the people on YouTube have makeup knowledge but not a deep understanding of photography, so some people are conveying incorrect information! Based on my experience as both a makeup artist and photographer, today I'll introduce makeup techniques that will make you shine in ID photos.
02. Base Makeup — Skin Expression is 70%
The core of an ID photo is the skin. In front of flash and lighting, shine and thick makeup are counterproductive. Semi-matte skin is the right answer. After preparing the skin with primer, apply foundation in thin layers. Use concealer only on dark circles and blemishes.
Point: Set with powder mainly on the T-zone. Leaving a little shine on the cheeks and forehead creates a three-dimensional effect.
If you're not confident in your makeup skills, I recommend taking the photo naturally rather than applying concealer thickly. (Monkos.ai corrects to a beautiful skin tone with its own programming!)
03. Eye Makeup — Clear, But Not Overdone
Draw the eyeliner thinly and clearly, filling in the gaps between the eyelashes. Smoky or thick lines make the eyes look smaller in photos. Use brown-toned shadows for only natural depth. The point is to comb the mascara so that it doesn't clump.
If you apply mascara to the lower lashes, it won't look like a job-hunting photo, and if it clumps, the finish will look messy!
Point: Eyebrows have the biggest impact on the impression of an ID photo. A natural arch or a flat brow with a peak is suitable for job-hunting photos.
04. Lip & Cheek — Bring Out Only a Healthy Complexion
Too much lip color stands out especially in photos. Coral pink daily lipsticks are the safest and look the most beautiful, and the cheek color should be a natural, healthy complexion — lightly blend into the apple zone.
Point: Avoid lip gloss. It may appear shiny in photos.
05. Final Points — Pre-Shoot Checklist
Hair: Make sure bangs don't cover your eyes Clothing: Light solid colors (white, light blue, and gray are recommended) Expression: A natural smile with slightly raised corners of the mouth
Monkos.AI Correction: We perform corrections considering all of the above points, so you can get highly satisfactory job-hunting photos and ID photos.
The place where you are becomes a photo studio.
